Publishing

The Steer CMS publishing engine gives you ultimate flexibility in what and when your content is pushed live. You can publish your entire site, a directory and its contents, or just one page using the same publish command.

The “Publish Now” command is accessed through the menu selection and will immediately publish the selected file.

To publish a file immediately

• Navigate to the desired file and click on the associated icon, the menu selection will appear
• Select “Publish Now” from the menu selection

The “Send to Queue” command, accessed through the menu selection will send the file and the contents of any associated directory structure to the Publish Queue.

To add a file to the publish queue

• Navigate to the desired file and click the associated icon
• Select “Send to Queue” from the menu selection

The publish queue contains all files waiting to be published. You can publish the entire queue or individual items as required, additionally you can delete the entire list or remove items individually.

To access the publish queue

• Click the “Publishing” tab in the content management console

To publish the entire queue

• Click “Export Queue”

To publish an individual item

• Choose the file and click the associated icon
• Select “Export” from the menu selection

To remove all items from the entire publish queue

• Click “Clear List”

To remove items individually

• Choose the file and click the associated icon
• Select “Remove” from the menu selection
